Abby Coplan’s thirteen years of business development and management experience, combined with her deep understanding of HRS’ mission, has helped the company elevate its brand and its operations. Abby has consulted for HRS since 2003 and became its full-time director of client services and marketing in 2009.
Abby leads a team of coding managers, coordinating the remote coding and internal auditing operations for HRS clients. As Director of Client Services, she leads HRS’ coding operations with respect to client deliverables. With a focus on productivity and streamlined processes, Abby directs the planning, staffing and organization of the company’s remote coding division.
Working closely with clients has given Abby a perspective that informs HRS’ go-to-market strategy. As Director of Marketing, Abby has communicated the company’s focus on putting clients before profits and promoted the benefits of working with a company founded and operated by HIM experts. By doing so, Abby has carved a unique niche for HRS.
Before joining HRS full-time, she worked in nonprofits and in the fashion industry. At Lighthouse International, a nonprofit for the visually impaired, she helped raise more than $1.2 million. Abby honed her creative and management style in the buying offices for Spiegel, Bloomingdales and Delia’s NY.
Abby holds has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Maryland.
