RHIT, CCS, Clinical Documentation Manager
“What keeps me going is helping physicians and hospitals paint a true picture of their patients by documenting correctly.”
Kim Carr brings nearly 30 years of health information management experience to HRS. With a focus on clinical documentation improvement, she’s elevating coding and reimbursement accuracy for clients across the country.
Over the span of three decades, Kim’s career has given her a strong background in revenue cycle improvement, coding and compliance, coding education and denials management. Her experience with all of these disciplines now informs her clinical documentation improvement work.
Kim’s career has been spent working in providers and consulting settings. Having worked in environments as varied as level-one trauma centers, small community hospitals, and all levels in between, she understands there is no one-size-fits-all clinical documentation solution.
Before joining HRS, Kim worked as a consultant for 3M Health Information Systems, KPMG and, most recently, Precyse Solutions. On the provider side, Kim has worked as a Clinical Documentation Improvement Manager and an HIM Coding Educator for Erlanger Health Systems. She has also worked for Cleveland Community Hospital and Bradley Memorial Hospital.
