AHIMA-Approved ICD-10 Trainer

“If healthcare organizations needed HRS in 1979, they need us now more than ever.” — Sallee

Sallee Silverman met HRS founder Wendy Coplan-Gould in 1979 when they both worked as ICD-9 trainers. More than 30 years and a wealth of experience later, Sallee is an ICD-10 trainer, helping providers and payers navigate an even more challenging transition.

Sallee’s career in HIM spans more than 35 years, more than 20 of which was spent serving as vice president of HRS. Although she has retired from day-to-day management at HRS, she continues to be a valuable resource for the company and its clients.

While a full-time leader at HRS, she managed the coding outsource operations and provided oversight for data quality engagements. As a consultant, she now helps clients with ICD-10 implementation, training and clinical documentation improvement projects. In addition to being an approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Sallee has conducted numerous ICD-10 presentations at regional meetings, as well as the 2010 and 2011 AHIMA Conventions.

Sallee has been an active member of AHIMA throughout her career and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management from the University of Pittsburgh.
